Solar cell laser scribing

Solar cell laser scribing
The laser has the characteristics of high brightness, high directivity, high monochromaticity and high coherence. After the laser beam is focused, a high temperature of thousands of degrees Celsius or even tens of thousands of degrees Celsius is generated at the focal point, thereby melting or chemically changing the material. Laser scribing is to focus the laser beam on the surface of the cell to form a high power density, so that the cell forms a groove, and a stress concentration area is formed at the groove, and finally the material is broken along the groove. Laser scribing is a non-contact processing. The use of laser to scribing solar cells can better prevent physical damage and cell contamination, and can improve the yield of scribing.

Compared with traditional mechanical scribing technology, laser scribing has the following advantages:
①The laser scribing is controlled by the computer, with fast speed and high precision, which can greatly improve the processing efficiency.
②Laser scribing is non-contact processing, which reduces the surface damage of the cell and improves the product yield.
③The laser scribing light intensity is easy to control, the power density is high after laser focusing, and the cutting depth can be well controlled.
④The laser beam is relatively thin, the material loss is extremely small, and the processing heating zone is small.
⑤Laser scribing grooves are neat, no cracks, and consistent depth.
⑥Laser processing operation is convenient and simple, safe to use, can work 24 hours without interruption, and low labor and various costs.
